Awesome resource for people who like birding. Easy to use and maps are up to date and accurate. Which saves time driving around if you're trying to see a specific bird. It updates my account online immediately for my life list, and the explore function makes suggestions for seeing new birds based on my personal experience I love this app, and would recommend it to anyone into birding.

Nice idea but unable to submit a bird that isn't on their list. So, pretty-much useless tbh...

For tracking birds you know where ever you go. It's tricky because you need wifi or gps to find where you are and to post (unless I missed something) but it works and posts to site.

Stellar app, extremely user friendly. Have been using it now for over a year and a half, and I haven't encountered a single problem! Very easy to select birds, breeding codes, and enter details. Also shows "nearby locations" when you are finished birding. Amazing!

Inoperable. Tried saving sighting coming from Merlin, around a dozen times. Tried directly from eBird, after installing newest update. Crashed several times, both ways. Also, to enter sighting from previous day, should be able enter time, date, location, without recording tracks. Very disappointed.

Great for reporting birds. Love the route tracking ability. Plus the newly updated ability to correct the route recorded!

Truly, the eBird app is a 4.5 but because it's the only real birding checklist app it gets a 5. My complaints are as niche as the Vampire Finch. Primarily, the need for data connection when trying to bird in new or remote areas can be frustrating. This sometimes results in delays while the app tries to communicate with the server, the lack of accurate expected species, and the inability to select hotspots because they don't load. That aside, it's THE birding app and pairs perfectly with Merlin.

The track recording switches off on its own after a few minutes. The app also crashes occasionally while updating the list.
